MunaLuchi has created DC Muna Serenade: A Curated Couples’ Date, to present the opportunity for engaged couples to experience the serenading together in an unforgettable date night experience.
The event takes place across the globe allowing wedding professionals to collaborate bringing to life one spectacular event. Washington, DC served as one of the many locations participating in the event aND we served as the Washington, DC Event Planner.
The goal of this DC Muna Serenade experience was to create an experience that would reflect what the couples would see at their DC wedding. Each of the couples are engaged so this simply made sense to take them on a mini journey of their big day.
Our DC Muna Serenade started off with wedding hair and makeup lead by Gerald Armstrong and Jennifer Thorpe Beauty. Once complete, the couples had a chance to record candid videos to share with their partner thanks to Trene Forbes Photography. We loved this part of the night because we believe that love letters or video between the couple is perfect on wedding day.
DC Muna Serenade Video
Following hair and makeup, our couples had a first look session captured by Edward Underwood Photography. This is one of the options couples consider to do on their wedding day.
Dinner time quickly approched and it was time to show our 3 DC couples just how much work we DC Wedding Professionals put into serenading them on their date night. We at Andrew Roby Events developed the theme, color palette, and styled the room. We also selected key DC Wedding Vendors to help bring our concept to life. Without them this event would have not be a hit with the couples involved.
A 3 course dinner was served by Scarlet Oak and included a selection of wine. Following dinner our couples participated in a few popular wedding games. By far this was the most hilarious part of the night.
Wedding Cakes
We closed the dinner session with a selection of desserts from Blue Lace Cakes. The three mini wedding cakes included a naked strawberry and vanilla cake with fresh strawberries on top and shards of pink colored white chocolate out of the top and cascading down the sides. Another cake was a upside down almond raspberry drip cake. The last wedding cake was a red velvet marbled fondant cake with bas relief accents in fondant. It included shapes of various flowers in a soft pink color accented in gold. Talk about eye catching and mouth watering.

We closed out the entire date night experience on the roof of Homewood Suites where we popped champagne and held a sparkler send off. The entire night was simply magical for our couples. Read their reviews here.
