In September Amanda reached out asking if we could plan her Washington DC micro wedding. She and Don wanted a winter wedding experience in December. Amanda and Don opted for an abbreviated wedding. Equally important, this would allow them to have a wedding ceremony followed by a private dinner at a local restaurant.
Their main focus was making sure their parents and children were comfortable and would have a great time. The original guest count was 32. Depending on the restrictions of Washington, DC would determine if they were able to invite all 32 guests. Coupled with uncertainty and protecting guests, only parents and children were invited.

How Amanda and Don Met
Mandy and Don met just about 5 years ago in January 2016 through the modern age of online dating. At that time, Don was still active in the Army and they were not living near each other. The night of their first date, Monday of Martin Luther King, Jr. weekend, Mandy drove 6 hours from Baltimore, MD while Don drove through a blizzard so they could meet in person in Syracuse, NY. They dated long-distance for their first three years of their relationship. Together, they have moved, started new jobs and traveled all around the world, including, the US, Canada, Costa Rica, and Colombia.
Don says he loves Mandy because she is so much fun to be with, they complement each other and she is his best friend. He also says he is the idea guy and Mandy makes it all happen.
Mandy says Don is the funnest person she’s ever met and that he always says yes.
Our DC Micro Wedding Packages
Amanda was attracted to what we included in our DC micro wedding packages. Because they are customizable, we were able to make necessary changes. In addition to the package, Amanda wanted to add a tour of Washington DC. This was a great idea to help elevate the experience of their guests who were traveling from out of town. As guests left the hotel to head to Anderson House, our Chauffeur would take them around DC monuments. In like manner a second tour took place on the way to the dinner reception.
Our micro wedding package includes:
- Planning and Design
- Flowers
- Digital and Printed Invitations
- Photographer
- Live Stream Video
- Wedding Cake
We have a number of add ons that can be made.
